The owner of a Kia Sportage has been handed an administrative penalty after driving into the water on a beach of Lake Balkhash. The incident gained widespread attention on social media after a video was published by one of the vacationers, reports infohub.kz.

The author of the post appealed to the police to look into the situation. Later, she said that a woman claiming to be the owner of the SUV or an acquaintance of the driver contacted her.
