Updated entry and exit rules took effect in the People's Republic of China on September 15. Foreign nationals who provide false information when applying for a visa or at border control may be banned from entering China for up to five years, according to infohub.kz.
The new rules change the document verification procedure. As a result, immigration clearance may now take longer than before.
Citizens of Kazakhstan traveling to or departing from China are advised to make sure in advance that they have all required travel documents, including a passport, and that those documents are correct. It is also important to familiarize themselves with the current entry and exit requirements of China ahead of time.
"We recommend arriving at the airport at least 3 hours before departure, allowing extra time for passport and immigration control," FlyArystan said.
The airline also recalled that, despite the restrictions, the visa-free regime between Kazakhstan and China remains in effect. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan may stay in China without a visa for up to 30 days per trip.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that talks were held in Beijing between the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on expanding cooperation in air transportation.
