An unusual private house resembling a medieval castle has been put up for sale in Almaty. The listing has caused a stir on social media, gathering 355,000 views, according to infohub.kz.
The mansion is located near Kok-Tobe. Its area is almost 500 square meters, the plot is 8 sotok (800 square meters), and the building itself occupies four levels, including a basement floor.
Judging by the photos, the owners have gone for maximalism. Inside, there is massive furniture, decorative columns, stained glass elements, and arched doors. Outside, the house is adorned with turrets, stone, and balconies.
The property features a swimming pool, sauna, garage, barbecue area, and a security room. All utilities are centralized, and the house itself is built of brick and monolithic concrete.
Users particularly noticed the recreation area with a large wooden gazebo equipped with a stove and stone elements.
For all this "castle" luxury, the owner is asking 450 million tenge.
The publication has drawn mixed reactions. Some users called the house unusual and quite in line with prices for elite real estate in Almaty. Others joke that the interior resembles a set for a historical film, and some have imagined a knight's tournament there.
"Now it's clear who buys all that stuff you think about in the store: 'Who even buys this?' The heart-shaped bed killed me."
"Will a knight's tournament be included with the house?"
"It hasn't sold for two years for sure. And you want it by evening," users write.
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that an elite house with an area of 960 square meters was put up for sale in Almaty. The video shows a fountain with a statue of a horse with a gilded tail next to the property, and nearby figurines of Snow White and the dwarfs from a Hollywood cartoon.
