A child fell out of a car as it was pulling up to a school in the morning in Kokshetau, and the shocking scene was captured on a bystander's dashcam, the website infohub.kz reports.

Police tracked down those involved in the incident and determined that the driver had violated several child passenger safety rules at once.

According to the Akmola Region Police Department, the incident occurred on October 5 at around 8:00 a.m. near one of the city's schools. Police say the driver of a Subaru Forester stopped in an unauthorized place to let the child out. While the vehicle was still moving, the child opened the door and fell onto the road.

Investigators found that there was no special child restraint or seat belt adapter in the car, which is required for transporting children of that age.

"Following the incident, the driver was held administratively liable for violating passenger transportation requirements and for violating stopping rules. He was also given a preventive talk and reminded of the need to strictly comply with child transportation rules," the department's press service said.

The department noted that since the start of 2026, police have recorded more than 27,000 violations of requirements for transporting passengers and cargo, as well as rules on the use of seat belts and motorcycle helmets.

Earlier, Kursiv reported how police in the Kyzylorda Region stopped a six-year-old child driving a Land Cruiser at night.
