A road dispute between a man and a young woman in Kokshetau has escalated into a criminal case, with a suspect identified, according to infohub.kz.
The press service of the Akmola Region Police Department said the incident occurred on September 17 near a residential building on Aqan Seri Street. The young woman left her Lada Vesta parked at a gate used by vehicles to exit and went to class.
Returning about an hour and a half later, she encountered a man who, as the investigation established, had been waiting for the car's owner for around 40 minutes.
"A conflict broke out between them over the parking. The man kicked the car door, and as a result the young woman sustained injuries to her head," the Akmola Region Police Department said.
According to police, there were no road signs or other visible markings in front of the gate indicating that the area was used for vehicle access.
After the information spread on social media, police identified the man, born in 1983. A pre-trial investigation into hooliganism has been launched against him.
The circumstances of the incident are being established. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the investigation.
