In Kostanay, a court has approved a mediation agreement under which a man agreed to pay his wife monthly alimony of 86,500 tenge for her maintenance, reports infohub.kz.
According to the official Telegram channel of the Kostanay regional courts, in August 2026, the Kostanay city court approved an agreement to settle a dispute through mediation in a civil case. The lawsuit was filed by a woman against her husband demanding alimony for her support. As a result, the proceedings were terminated.
During the preparation of the case for trial, the parties, with the assistance of a judge-mediator, concluded a mediation agreement. The court reviewed its contents and found that the terms reached fully comply with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Under the terms of the agreement, the plaintiff reduced her claims to 20 MCI (in 2026, this amounts to 86,500 tenge) and waived the rest of her claims. In turn, the defendant undertook to pay her alimony monthly in the amount of 20 MCI until their child reaches the age of three.
If the defendant fails to fulfill his obligations for the current monthly payment, the plaintiff has the right to obtain an enforcement document to present it to a private bailiff for compulsory execution.
The court approved the mediation agreement and terminated the proceedings in the civil case. The parties were explained that a repeated appeal to the court on a dispute between the same parties, on the same subject and on the same grounds is not allowed. The court ruling has not yet entered into legal force.
