A 21-year-old local resident deliberately drifted on a roadway in Kostanay, damaging the road surface with his tires, and was promptly arrested, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the press service of the Kostanay Region Police Department, a driver who drifted on a road in the regional capital was arrested for 15 days.
"Using surveillance cameras, police officers identified a driver who deliberately drifted on the roadway. The maneuvers left tire marks on the road surface, which was damaged. The offender was identified and taken to a police station. He turned out to be a 21-year-old resident of Kostanay, M. B.," the police department said.
According to police, since the beginning of the year he has been held administratively liable 16 times for traffic violations. In addition, he was previously held administratively liable once for petty hooliganism.
By a court decision, he was given an administrative penalty of 15 days' arrest. The damage to the road surface has been repaired.
