A family conflict in Kostanay has led to criminal cases. According to the victim support center, a woman was repeatedly subjected to violence by her husband's relatives. The latest incident occurred over hanging laundry, reports infohub.kz.
The victim said she had previously contacted the police, but her complaint was not accepted. The new conflict began after she hung laundry to dry near her house. Her husband's relatives came to her, broke a window, and started a row.
The press service of the Kostanay Regional Police Department confirmed that on August 22, a report was received about a family conflict between a 57-year-old resident of Kostanay and her 24-year-old daughter-in-law. A local police officer arrived at the scene. It turned out that the windows of the house where the daughter-in-law was had been broken by the homeowner's daughter.
Criminal cases have been opened against both women on charges of causing bodily harm. The actions of each participant will be given a legal assessment. In addition, protective orders have been issued against the women, prohibiting them from contacting each other. The investigation is ongoing.
