A resident of Kazakhstan's Kostanay Region has been placed under administrative arrest for 20 days by a court ruling after violating a protective order. The man did not admit guilt, according to infohub.kz.
According to the official Telegram channel of the Kostanay Region courts, the Fedorovka District Court heard an administrative offense case against a man held liable under Part 1-1 of Article 461 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses — for violating, within a year, a protective order issued by an internal affairs body for a second time.
The court established that on August 5, 2026, the man was issued a protective order prohibiting him from committing intentional unlawful acts against a woman that cause or threaten to cause physical and mental suffering.
Despite the ban, on August 7 the man came to the woman's workplace, where he began insulting her, causing her mental suffering.
His guilt was confirmed by the body of evidence examined by the court, including the administrative offense report, the victim's statements, the offender's own explanations and case materials.
At the court hearing, the man did not admit guilt, explaining that he had gone into the store to buy cigarettes, where a verbal altercation occurred between them.
However, the court assessed critically his arguments that he had no intent to cause mental suffering. The court also took into account that, while fully aware that an administrative offense report had been drawn up over the incident, he hid from police officers and the court, trying to avoid liability.
Given the established circumstances, the court imposed an administrative arrest of 20 days on the man.
The court's ruling has not entered into legal force.
