A resident of Kostanay has discovered fictitious records in her electronic medical card in the Damumed system about treatment in the day hospital of Polyclinic No. 5. Because of the serious diagnosis, the woman now cannot pass a medical commission to obtain a driver's license. She reported this on the social network Threads, reports the website infohub.kz.
"I accidentally opened the Damumed app and found that from August 17 to 21, I supposedly 'stayed' in the day hospital of Polyclinic No. 5 in Kostanay. They 'gave' me a course of IVs, injections, and made a discharge summary with a diagnosis (epileptic syndromes)," wrote Nelly.
According to the woman, she did not see doctors during that time. Moreover, she was not even in the city on those dates. And the most offensive part is that she was planning to go to driving school, but the diagnosis in her medical record does not allow her to do so.
"Because of this invented diagnosis, I simply cannot pass the medical commission. A certificate 073/у with such a record will not be signed," she emphasized.
The woman noted that she has already filed applications with e-Otinish to the FSMS and asked Kazakhstani users for advice on how to handle this situation.
In the comments, users supported the woman and were surprised by such a diagnosis, noting that medications for this disease are dispensed strictly by prescription.
"But antiepileptic drugs are dispensed strictly by prescription, and they are always in short supply. There was a theory that they are sold under the counter, I didn't really believe it, but your record seems to confirm it," wrote user aselfromkz.
"Just out of curiosity, I checked my Damumed, and it says I had an X-ray in June," wrote vzefire.
Another user, sailorsalta, suggested that the system might have encountered similar data.
"I worked in medicine myself, but I also faced a similar case. According to the medical registry, I apparently lived in Aktau and was attached there. But I have never been to that city in my life. I knew that my full namesake lives there, and her data just moved to mine. That's very possible," she noted.
The Health Department of Kostanay region told Kursiv that an official investigation has already been launched into the fact of the false record reported by the Kostanay resident.
"An internal investigation is underway to establish the causes and circumstances of the appearance of this record in the information system," the statement says.
The department promises to provide information on the results of the investigation additionally.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that the country is changing its approach to financial control in the compulsory social health insurance system. A new digital platform should help in the fight against false records.
