Construction company Kostanay Zholdary, wholly owned by Seitzhan Yessimov, posted 2.4 billion tenge in net profit for 2025. A year earlier the figure stood at 909 million tenge, meaning it grew 2.6-fold over the year. The figures come from the company's financial statements, according to infohub.kz.
Registered in Kostanay, Kostanay Zholdary is fully owned by 68-year-old Seitzhan Yessimov, who lives in Almaty. He is the younger brother of 75-year-old Akhmetzhan Yessimov, a nephew of Kazakhstan's first president, Nursultan Nazarbayev. Over a long career, Akhmetzhan Yessimov served as Kazakhstan's ambassador to Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, as agriculture minister, deputy prime minister and akim of Almaty, and headed the national company Astana Expo-2017 and Samruk-Kazyna, among other posts.
In 2025, Kostanay Zholdary's revenue reached 14.7 billion tenge, up 1.5-fold from 9.6 billion tenge in 2024. The company's financial income rose to 118.6 million tenge from 26.4 million tenge a year earlier, a 4.5-fold increase. Retained earnings at the end of 2025 stood at 6.6 billion tenge.
The company regularly pays dividends out of its profits. In 2025 they totaled 410 million tenge, compared with 205 million tenge in 2024.
Karagandy Zholdary's main activities are the construction of roads, airfields and sports facilities, along with other works. The company has several branches, including a repair and construction department in Karaganda, a road maintenance section in the village of Botakara in Karaganda region, a road maintenance section in the village of Osakarovka in Karaganda region, and a branch in the town of Derzhavinsk in Akmola region.
According to open data, the company took part this year in repairing a 42 km stretch of the Denisovka – Zhitikara – Muktikol – Russian border road, which leads to the Kondybay checkpoint.
