In Aktau, Andrei Karpovich's side conceded two penalties converted by Caspian's Belarusian midfielder Pavel Sjadzko and by the 79th minute seemed hopelessly behind. However, two other set pieces turned the game around. Aibar Zhaksylykov from Semey scored from a corner in the 79th minute, and Roman Murtazaev curled in a free kick eight minutes later – 2:2.
Astana were leading in Petropavlovsk until the 93rd minute, when Serbian Nedeljko Piščević canceled out Stanislav Basmanov's goal scored in the 58th minute.
Both Tobol and Okzhetpes secured 2:0 away wins, in Pavlodar and Turkistan respectively. For Kostanay's Tobol, Frenchman Ryan Senhadji and Belarusian Vitaly Lisakovich scored against Irtysh. In the match against Atyrau, Lisakovich's compatriot Dmitry Borodin and Oralkhan Omirtayev sealed the win. The Kokshetau side continue to challenge Astana for the bronze.
Matches of the 23rd round of KPL-2026, scheduled for August 22 and 23, have been postponed indefinitely. The 24th round fixtures will take place on August 29 and 30.
