The Kremlin has commented on the issue of strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities despite the energy truce announced by US President Donald Trump, according to infohub.kz.
Dmitry Peskov, press secretary to Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that the agreements on an energy truce between Russia and Ukraine "have not yet been specified." He was responding to a journalist's question about whether reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense about strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities meant that Moscow was not satisfied with the idea of an energy truce.
"What is the perimeter of the energy truce, what does it mean? Has it been specified?" Peskov asked journalists. After receiving a negative answer, the Kremlin spokesman added: "You are absolutely right. Therefore, work in this direction continues."
Recall that US President Donald Trump recently said that Russia and Ukraine had allegedly agreed to an energy truce. Later, Vladimir Zelensky accused Russia of violating the energy truce.
And today Zelensky reported that 39 ballistic missiles and more than 120 strike drones and unmanned combat vehicles were used against energy facilities and critical infrastructure in Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, and Kharkiv. According to him, Russia "has never before shown such blatant disrespect for the United States."
