Online reports have emerged suggesting that Yerlan Koishibayev is set to become the first deputy chairman of the management board of Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ), according to infohub.kz.
The account of the online publication Logi_kaz on Threads posted a message claiming that KTZ is again expecting personnel changes. According to the publication's own source, Yerlan Koishibayev, who currently serves as deputy chairman of the board for logistics, is expected to be appointed as first deputy chairman of the management board of JSC "NC "KTZ". The source said this decision is seen as a logical step to strengthen management of key areas of the national carrier's operations. Koishibayev's experience in logistics, it is claimed, will help KTZ achieve the main goal for 2026 set by the head of state: increasing rail transit volume to 55 million tons.
However, the press service of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" almost immediately denied this information. "This information is false. We remind you of the responsibility for spreading false information under the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the company warned.
