According to the TV star, the project is necessary to house a personal fashion archive she has been building for 15 years. The collection includes about 30,000 items of clothing and accessories.
Her younger sister Kylie Jenner ironically commented on the scale of the construction on the family reality show. She noted that the wardrobe, at about 8,000 square feet, seems excessively huge even by their family's standards. The complex itself includes not only above-ground spaces but also additional underground levels for storing items.
