Pop star Kylie Minogue is preparing a spectacular 20-minute performance ahead of the Australian Football League grand final at a stadium in Melbourne, Billboard reports, according to infohub.kz.
The show will take place on September 26, 2026, at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground. Organizers promise the biggest pre-match show in the league's history, featuring an avant-garde stage, dance routines and visual effects. Around 100,000 spectators will fill the arena, while millions more will watch the broadcast on television.
The singer, who was born in Melbourne, will headline the Australian rules football national championship final for the first time. For the 58-year-old performer, the event marks a long-awaited return to her home stage. Ahead of the match, a special fan zone called Kylie Village, offering exclusive merchandise, will also open in Yarra Park.
The show is being organized by Mushroom Group together with league officials. Minogue will become the first Australian artist since 2021 to headline the final's entertainment program. In previous years, the pre-match show featured international stars, including Katy Perry, Snoop Dogg, Robbie Williams and the band KISS.
