Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has called for tough measures against "enemies of the people" who, funded from abroad, seek to destabilize the situation in the republic, reports infohub.kz.

According to the official website of the Kyrgyz leader, on August 29 in Bishkek, Japarov reviewed the law enforcement forces deployed to ensure public safety during the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the 6th World Nomad Games. As part of the comprehensive operation "Security," personnel from relevant agencies are on duty in an enhanced mode.

After hearing reports from security chiefs on full readiness to carry out tasks, the supreme commander-in-chief inspected personnel and equipment. The president then delivered a speech, emphasizing that the priority is to ensure law and order during international events, as well as the safety of Kyrgyz citizens and foreign guests.

Japarov urged security forces to intensify interagency cooperation, strictly maintain discipline, uphold order in crowded places, and respond promptly and courteously to citizens' appeals.

"Kyrgyzstan is a sacred homeland for all of us! Although our official duties to the country differ, we must never forget that ensuring state security and the peaceful life of our people is a common and equally important task for each of us," the head of state stressed.

The president also noted ongoing efforts to modernize security forces, strengthen their material and technical base, increase monetary allowances, and expand social support for personnel. He emphasized that reliable security is a crucial condition for stability and development, and called on personnel to demonstrate high professionalism, responsibility, and dedicated service to the people.

"The first and main condition for development is iron discipline! We will harshly punish those few enemies of the people who, succumbing to provocations from various destructive external forces and receiving rewards from them, act among us, call for revenge, and try to destabilize the situation in society. There will be no mercy for such people!" Japarov declared.
