In a special center for social services for children in Kyzylorda, prosecutors found violations: children were given half the number of diapers required by law, reports infohub.kz.
During the analysis, prosecutors established non-compliance with standards for providing children with disabilities with necessary hygiene products. Additionally, instances of ignoring personnel procedures and public procurement legislation were recorded.
The prosecutor's office emphasized that according to the "rules for providing persons with disabilities with prosthetic and orthopedic assistance, technical auxiliary (compensatory) means and special means of movement," persons with disabilities who have dysfunctions of the pelvic organs should be provided with four diapers per day.
However, prosecutors found that in fact, children were given two, at most three diapers per day.
As a result, after the prosecutor's response, the rights of 56 children with disabilities were restored. It is noted that the guilty officials have already been brought to justice.
After the center was put in order, parents of children with disabilities turned to the prosecutor's office with gratitude.
Earlier, "Kursiv" wrote that this year the size of disability benefits in Kazakhstan increased by 10%. Recall that today, over 544 thousand people in the country receive disability payments. Also, the total amount of payments at the moment, taking into account all sources of funding, was reported earlier.
