Kazakhstan's unemployment rate stood at 4.5% in the first half of the year, while over 45% of medical and social assessments are now conducted remotely. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection held an expanded meeting chaired by Minister Askarbek Yertayev to review the first half of 2026 and outline tasks for the remainder of the year, reports infohub.kz.
First Vice Minister Yerbol Tuyakbayev reported on labor rights protection. He said state inspectors conducted 3,607 inspections in six months, a 22.6% increase from the same period last year. More than 4,000 labor law violations were found, employers received over 2,300 mandatory orders, and administrative measures were taken.
Vice Minister Eldar Kuzenbayev discussed the labor market. The unemployment rate was 4.5% in the first half. He noted that employment services prioritize digital technologies and AI-based solutions to improve efficiency, targeting, and quality of public services.

She emphasized that remote assessments are expanding, with over 45% conducted in this format. Social protection work is comprehensive, involving legislative updates, digital services, rehabilitation infrastructure, and strengthened state control.
