On Lake Alakol, six vacationers, including four children, were swept 11 kilometers from the shore due to a malfunctioning inflatable boat, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations press service, a distress signal was received indicating that a group of vacationers on Araltobe Island in the Makanshi area could not return on their own. Rescue teams from the Emergency Operations Department were immediately dispatched. They located the six people, including four children, 11 km from the shore.
The incident was caused by a battery failure on the inflatable boat, which left the vacationers unable to reach the shore. Emergency workers successfully evacuated everyone and brought them to land. The rescued individuals did not require medical assistance.
