Lavrov Warns Europe of 'Very Short War' If It Attacks Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned European countries about the consequences of an attack on Russian territory, according to infohub.kz.

According to NUR.KZ, citing RIA Novosti, the head of Russia's foreign policy department spoke about a possible war with Europe at the International Youth Festival.

"We have said more than once that we are not going to attack Europe. The president (of Russia — ed.) recently dwelt on this topic in detail again," the minister recalled.

At the same time, he warned what an attack by Europe on Russia would lead to. "I emphasize that we have no interests in doing this, but if Europe, which talks every day about preparing for war against Russia, attacks the Russian Federation, it will be a completely different war and it will be very short," Lavrov added.

Recall that in June, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that Russia remains a long-term threat to the alliance. In August, it became known that the alliance had prepared a plan in case of war with Russia.

And today, the media reported that the German authorities have begun checking the readiness of the country's healthcare system for war and a mass influx of wounded.
