Chinese automaker Li Auto has unveiled its flagship electric crossover, the i9. The new model features four zero-gravity seats, dual electric motors and a range of up to 705 km, according to infohub.kz.
The manufacturer calls the i9 the most aerodynamic production crossover in the world, with a drag coefficient of 0.215. The vehicle measures 5225×1970×1752 mm, with a wheelbase of 3168 mm. Its minimum turning diameter is 10.6 m, achieved through steer-by-wire technology and rear-wheel steering.
The cabin's standout feature is four zero-gravity seats that can be reclined into a rest position simultaneously. The rear seats are full-size and can rotate in two directions. The interior also includes a table, a 10-liter refrigerator, a 29-speaker audio system, a 29-inch 6K front screen and a 21-inch 4K rear display.
The Li Auto i9 is equipped with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. The combined output is 400 kW (536 hp), with peak torque of 660 N·m. The crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. A 101 kWh battery provides up to 705 km on the CLTC cycle. According to the manufacturer, 10 minutes of fast charging adds 500 km of range.
The Embodied Intelligence package includes two M100 computing chips with a combined 1280 TOPS of performance and four lidars. The system uses the Mach VLA control model to assist the driver in city and highway driving. Safety is provided by 11 airbags and a reinforced body structure.
The first vehicles will use CATL batteries. Li Auto later plans to switch to its own in-house batteries, which will be produced by Sunwoda.
In China, the Li Auto i9 is priced at 369,800 yuan (about 25.2 million tenge). Sales of the model on the Chinese market have already begun. There is no word yet on plans for official i9 deliveries to Kazakhstan.
