The Russian retail chain LIMÉ has announced the closure of its remaining partner stores, raising questions about the fate of the brand's outlets in Kazakhstan. As it turned out, Kazakhstani stores will continue to operate as usual, reports infohub.kz.
According to Forbes Franchise, the retailer has decided to abandon the franchise model and focus on developing its own retail network. In the near future, the company will close its 14 remaining partner stores.
Currently, LIMÉ operates 60 own and 14 partner stores in Russia, as well as 11 abroad – in Dubai, Bahrain, Armenia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. In Kazakhstan, there are 2 brand stores, both located in Almaty.
Kursiv LifeStyle contacted LIMÉ for comment. Over the phone, a company representative said that the closures will only affect Russian partner stores. In Kazakhstan, the brand continues to operate normally.
