Linkin Park has announced a documentary film titled "Linkin Park: Unshatter," dedicated to the band's new chapter following the death of frontman Chester Bennington. Along with the announcement, the musicians released the first trailer for the film, reports infohub.kz.
The film is set to premiere on September 30. It was directed by Linkin Park member Joe Hahn. The documentary will chronicle the band's return to the world stage, the creation of the album From Zero, and their first concert tour with the new lineup. Viewers will see rare archival footage, behind-the-scenes clips, studio sessions, and performances from São Paulo.
Special attention in the film is given to the new era of Linkin Park with vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain. According to the creators, the film will show not only the creative process but also how the musicians coped with loss, rediscovered themselves, and returned to live performances.
A few days before the film's premiere, on September 25, the live album Unshatter (Live From São Paulo) will be released. It will include live versions of songs from different periods of Linkin Park's career, as well as several exclusive recordings that will not appear in the film.
Director Joe Hahn noted that Unshatter is a story not only about the band but also about friendship, resilience, and the ability to move forward even after the toughest trials. According to him, longtime fans will see footage that has never been published before, and new listeners will gain a better understanding of Linkin Park's journey.
