Lionsgate has released an updated poster for the 10th anniversary re-release of the musical 'La La Land,' correcting a hand position of Ryan Gosling that the actor regretted for nearly a decade, Variety reports, according to infohub.kz.
The studio announced the return of the six-time Oscar-winning film to theaters to celebrate its decade milestone. Along with the announcement, Lionsgate unveiled a revised promotional poster that fixed a famous detail that had bothered Gosling.
In the original 2016 poster, Gosling and his co-star Emma Stone are shown dancing against a sunset over Los Angeles. Stone's hand is elegantly extended upward, while Gosling's wrist is bent nearly horizontally. The actor himself admitted in interviews that the pose was his own idea on set, which he regretted for years. He jokingly called it the 'La La hand' and acknowledged that the hand position disrupted the overall energy of the shot.
In the updated version, designers straightened Gosling's hand to align it parallel with Stone's. In an official statement, Lionsgate jokingly said they had heard the actor's requests. The re-release of Damien Chazelle's musical will begin worldwide in August.
