A Turkish citizen visiting Astana discovered his sunglasses were missing and turned to police for help, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Interior Ministry's media portal, the foreigner noticed the loss of the glasses, worth about $300 (approximately 140,000 tenge), at his hotel, after having attended a sporting event. To clarify the circumstances, city police reviewed CCTV footage.
The check revealed that the man had the glasses on him before the event. Later, while watching the games from the stands, he left them behind and did not notice the loss upon leaving the building, the Astana police department said.
The Turkish citizen expressed gratitude to the police for their promptness, attentiveness, and assistance. Police note that timely reporting allows them to establish the circumstances of an incident faster and take necessary measures. In case of losing personal belongings, it is recommended not to delay seeking help and to provide officers with as accurate details as possible.
