A resident of the village of Maikain in Pavlodar Region will pay a fine of 129,750 tenge for insulting a female ambulance service employee and obstructing her work, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the official Instagram page of the Pavlodar Regional Ambulance Station, the Bayanaul District Court held the woman administratively liable for using obscene language toward a 103 service employee and obstructing her professional duties.
The incident that led to court occurred on September 5 in the village of Maikain. An ambulance crew arrived at a home in response to a call — a young woman had fallen ill. Once on site, the medics tried to determine what had happened to the patient and help her.
"Almost the entire time, a woman was nearby, insulting the paramedic of the 103 service and even trying to obstruct her work. All of this was captured on a dashcam, which representatives of the Pavlodar Regional Ambulance Station have been using on every call for more than a year. That recording became the main evidence of the offense during the trial," the 103 service said.
The court held the woman administratively liable under Part 2 of Article 80-1 of the Administrative Offenses Code of Kazakhstan (Showing disrespect to medical or pharmaceutical workers in the performance of their official duties). As punishment, the court of first instance imposed a fine of 30 MCI (129,750 tenge). The ruling was issued on September 17 and has not yet entered into legal force.
