Kazakhstan national team footballer Maksim Samorodov recorded his first goal contribution of the current Russian Premier League (RPL) season, reports infohub.kz.
Grozny's Akhmat secured a home victory over Makhachkala's Dynamo in a match of the eighth round. The encounter took place at Akhmat Arena and ended 3-2 in favor of the hosts.
For the winners, African midfielders scored a goal each — Malian Kalidou Sidibé (58th minute) and Angolan Manuel Keliano (85th). Colombian defender Andrés Alarcón scored an own goal in Akhmat's favor (66th).
For the visitors, Russian players stood out — forward Gamid Agalarov (48th) and defender Temirkan Sundukov (64th), who received a red card late in the match (90+5).
Maksim Samorodov recorded his first goal contribution of the RPL season. In the episode with his team's first goal, he delivered a cross from a corner, which Sidibé converted. Samorodov, who started the match, was replaced in the 85th minute by another Kazakhstan national team forward, Galymzhan Kenzhebek.
The victory allowed Akhmat to reach ten points. The Grozny side, managed by former Kazakhstan national team head coach Stanislav Cherchesov, climbed to ninth position. Makhachkala's Dynamo, with 12 points, occupies sixth place.
