In Aktau, witnesses filmed a man searching for something under a tree. The video's author suggested the stranger might have been looking for a drug stash, reports infohub.kz.
The footage shows a young man squatting and digging the ground near a tree by house No. 76 in the 27th microdistrict. He periodically looks at his phone, then walks around the tree and continues digging on the other side.
According to the video's author, the man could have been searching for a so-called "stash" of narcotic substances.
The police department of Mangystau region promised to check the report. The department reminded that such suspicious facts should be reported to the police by calling 102.
The region also has a Telegram bot "STOP Synthetic Mangystau," where residents can send information about possible stash locations, drug graffiti, as well as internet resources and accounts linked to drug advertising and sales.
The regional police department urged citizens not to remain indifferent and to report any suspicious circumstances. Every appeal is checked by police officers.
