A 35-year-old resident of Almaty was removed from a flight in Ust-Kamenogorsk for causing a disturbance on board, reports infohub.kz.
The incident occurred on August 24. Transport police at Ust-Kamenogorsk International Airport removed the man from the flight arriving from Almaty upon landing, based on a report from the aircraft commander.
It was established that during takeoff from Almaty airport, while the plane was climbing, the passenger did not fasten his seatbelt and defiantly scattered food and drink waste, including alcohol he had consumed during the flight.
The man ignored crew instructions, using foul language toward airline staff and other passengers. Continuing his unlawful actions, he got up from his seat, moved to the rear of the aircraft, and occupied vacant seats. During the investigation, it was revealed that the individual had been previously held accountable multiple times.
The specialized court for administrative offenses in Ust-Kamenogorsk found the man guilty of petty hooliganism and littering in public places, sentencing him to 20 hours of mandatory community service.
Since the beginning of the year, transport police officers have brought 231 people to responsibility for various offenses on board aircraft.
