In Aktau, a man is suspected of attacking his wife with a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds. The incident occurred early on July 14 in the 14th microdistrict, reports infohub.kz.
The victim's relatives took to social media to ask for witnesses. They said the woman had been planning to divorce her husband, and he had repeatedly threatened to kill her, their children, and relatives. The couple has four children.
“That morning, my brother-in-law lured my sister out of the house by threatening to kill the children if she didn't come out to talk to him. She went to meet him, and he beat her and stabbed her multiple times. She is now in the hospital. Her condition remains serious but stable. We are looking for witnesses who may have recorded the incident on video,” said the victim's sister.
The Mangistau Regional Police Department commented: “Preliminary investigation shows that the victim's injuries were caused during a domestic conflict. The victim was hospitalized and received necessary medical treatment. The suspect has been detained and, by court order, placed in custody.”
