Two New Deputy Akims Appointed in Mangystau Region

Mangystau Region has seen a leadership reshuffle: Yerbol Izbergenov has been appointed first deputy akim, while Bekbol Orynbasarov has become deputy akim of the region. The corresponding orders were signed in agreement with the administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, according to infohub.kz.

Yerbol Kurentaiuly Izbergenov was born on August 11, 1973, in the village of Kuryk in the Karakiyansky district of Mangystau Region. He began his career in 1991 as a mason at the construction and installation section of the Mangistaumunaigazrazvedka integrated expedition.

Over the years, he worked in construction organizations, the Aktau akimat, and served as deputy akim of Munaily district and head of the regional construction department. He also held senior positions in the Ministry of Investment and Development and the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of Kazakhstan.

In 2019–2020, he was deputy chairman of the board of JSC "SEZ "Aktau Sea Port," then headed the Atameken Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs. In 2020–2023, he served as deputy akim and akim of Aktau. In 2024–2025, he worked as first deputy akim of Mangystau Region, and since September 2, 2025, as deputy akim of the region.

Bekbol Tleumuratuly Orynbasarov was born on June 18, 1971, in Tupkaragansky district of Mangystau Region. He began his career in 1993 as an inspector at the Bautinsky customs post.

He later worked in the banking sector, the Aktau akimat, and regional government bodies, serving as deputy akim of the city and head of the Aktau akimat's staff. In 2006–2010, he worked at the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning and JSC "NC "SPK "Caspian." In 2010–2019, he headed Otyrar Energy LLP and Adai LLP.

In 2020–2021, Orynbasarov was chairman of the board of JSC "SEZ "Aktau Sea Port," and in 2021–2023, he served as deputy and then first deputy akim of Mangystau Region. From 2023 to 2026, he was a deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan of the VII and VIII convocations, and was a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Budget.
