A mass brawl involving Kazakhstan national team defender Nuraly Alip broke out during the Russian Super Cup match for the 2026/27 season between Zenit St. Petersburg and Spartak Moscow, reports infohub.kz.

The title match took place in Nizhny Novgorod. The match ended 1-1 in regulation time. Zenit equalized in stoppage time with a penalty converted by Alexander Sobolev, who previously played for Spartak.

After the goal, Sobolev directed harsh gestures toward Spartak fans, which angered the Spartak players. A scuffle ensued, quickly escalating into a mass brawl as substitutes and staff from both teams rushed onto the field. Nuraly Alip, who had been on the bench for the entire match, joined the altercation and received a yellow card.

The conflict was resolved a few minutes later. As per the rules, the match went to a penalty shootout, where Zenit won 4-2 and clinched the Russian Super Cup.
