In Kazakhstan, the testing that allowed applicants to compete for master's grants has been completed, according to infohub.kz.
According to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, about 58,000 candidates took the test for admission to master's programs. The average score for the scientific-pedagogical direction was 77 points, for the specialized direction - 24. The highest score was 139.
During the comprehensive testing, results of 94 participants were annulled for violating rules. In particular, 69 applicants were not allowed to take the test for attempting to bring smartphones, cheat sheets, and other prohibited items. For violating rules during the test, 25 people were removed from the classrooms, and their results were also annulled.
The threshold score for admission to master's programs in the scientific-pedagogical direction is 75 points, and for the specialized direction - 30 points, emphasized the city administration.
Acceptance of documents for the grant competition will be held from August 12 to 18, and the list of grant recipients will be published by August 25. Enrollment of future master's students in higher and postgraduate education organizations will be completed by August 28.
To participate in the competition, applicants must submit the following documents: a copy of their ID, a document of higher education (diploma and supplement), a comprehensive testing certificate, and international certificates confirming foreign language proficiency (if available).
When submitting an application, an applicant can specify one group of educational programs and three higher education institutions.
