Meta has announced a portable device called Muse Charm for interacting with an AI assistant. The gadget will go on sale in time for the December holidays, according to infohub.kz.
Meta has entered the race for personal AI devices with a compact gadget called Muse Charm. The device was unveiled by CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the company's annual Connect event. It is designed to give users constant access to the recently launched personal AI agent Muse.
The palm-sized gadget can be carried in a pocket or used as a keychain. Inside the device "lives" the assistant's digital avatar, known internally as Jolly. A small screen on the keychain displays the character's animation, and interaction happens through voice commands. To get started, the user simply touches a fingerprint scanner in the corner of the casing, allowing interaction with the neural network without unlocking a smartphone or launching apps.
Mark Zuckerberg noted that engineers managed to fit the entire Muse system, including the voice engine and visual avatar, into a compact body. According to him, for people who don't wear smart glasses, this amulet will be the fastest way to connect with the assistant and show it their surroundings. The device is styled after the popular virtual pets Tamagotchi and is a lightweight gadget focused on always-on connection to the company's services.
Currently, the company's engineers are finalizing the internal component layout of the device. According to Meta management, Muse Charm will be fully ready for shipments in December 2026, in time for the start of the winter holidays.
