Singer Miley Cyrus is ready to return to the big screen after a multi-year hiatus. The star has expressed a desire to act in films again and plans to try her hand at directing in the future, according to infohub.kz.
She shared her plans in an interview with Wonderland magazine. In a conversation with actress Daryl Hannah, Cyrus admitted she has long wanted to work with her on a joint project. "My dream has always been to work with artists I admire. I think we could create real magic together. I have an idea. Call me," the singer said.
According to Cyrus, she is no longer interested in light romantic comedies. Instead, she is looking for complex dramatic love stories. One of her dream roles is a modern reinterpretation of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet.' She said she would like to play a 'punk-rock version of Juliet' — a bright, strong, and tragically romantic heroine.
Miley Cyrus began her acting career as a teenager with the series 'Hannah Montana,' which made her a global star. In recent years, she has focused on music but now intends to return to film work.
Earlier, Cyrus joined Beyoncé on stage for the first time during the Cowboy Carter tour in Paris — a dream come true for the singer. Fans of both stars did not expect such a joint performance.
