The Military Police of Kazakhstan has announced a search for a conscript soldier who deserted his post in Ust-Kamenogorsk, reports NUR.KZ.

In an Instagram post, the military police directorate of the Kazakh Armed Forces published a notice for the private, who left his unit several days ago. According to the press service of the Main Directorate of Military Police of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the incident occurred on July 23, 2026, at approximately 06:30. Private Markhan A.E., born March 31, 2004, was serving as the duty orderly when he deserted. He did not have any weapons. The soldier is believed to have left the unit in uniform, but it is possible he changed into civilian clothes.

Description of the wanted soldier: height 177 cm, weight about 80 kg, medium build, black eyes and hair, short hair, moles on his face.

The military police department has launched search operations in coordination with internal affairs agencies. The authorities are asking citizens to report any information on the soldier's whereabouts. Information will be kept confidential. The search is being monitored by the leadership of the Main Directorate of Military Police of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
