A new company, Alatau City Iconic Holding Limited, with an authorized capital of $50 million, has been registered in the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). The company's name matches the project of the iconic building, Iconic Building, which was previously announced as the central object of the new business district Gate District in the city of Alatau, reports infohub.kz.
According to AIFC registration data, the company issued 50,000 ordinary shares with a par value of $1,000 each. Thus, its capital amounts to $50 million.
The main activity of Alatau City Iconic Holding Limited is listed as holding company activities. The company may also engage in other activities permitted by AIFC legislation.
The sole shareholder of the new structure is Alatau City Properties LLP. Among the owners of this company are: private company Alatau Development Holding Ltd., founded by Alexander Kim; entrepreneur and former senator Yuri Tsay; and Caspian Group, also owned by Tsay.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Yuri Tsay presented the project of the new business district Gate District in the city of Alatau. The project involves the construction of a complex of class A business centers, hotels, shopping and entertainment facilities, and a financial center with special conditions for business.
The core of the district is to be the International Business Development Center Iconic Building-1. In November 2025, the akimat of Almaty region reported that trilateral agreements on the project were reached on the sidelines of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council.
Yuri Tsay ranks 72nd in the ranking of the richest businessmen in Kazakhstan according to Forbes. His fortune is estimated at $100 million.
