Since the start of 2026, police in the Aktobe region have received more than 900 reports of missing persons. Nearly half — 470 reports — involved minors, reports infohub.kz.

Thanks to active search efforts, nearly all of the missing have been found and returned home. Currently, the whereabouts of three people remain unknown and searches continue. According to police, adults most often leave for work without notifying relatives or change residences and stop communicating. Minors run away after family conflicts, due to misunderstandings with parents, or leave their place of residence voluntarily without realizing the consequences.

Police are now searching for two 44-year-old men and one pensioner: Asylkhan Khasenov, Sergey Kovtun, and Bolat Konyrbaev. Search teams have been formed for each case. Law enforcement officers are interviewing relatives and witnesses, reviewing CCTV footage, checking possible locations of the missing, briefing patrol units, and coordinating with volunteers. If necessary, searches extend beyond the region. Citizens with information about the missing persons are urged to call 102 or visit the nearest police station.
