A young man who went missing on his 18th birthday while vacationing with friends has been found dead in the Caspian Sea near Aktau, reports infohub.kz.
According to the regional Department for Emergency Situations, a search and rescue operation was conducted along an undeveloped stretch of the Caspian coast. The body of 18-year-old Azamat Duisekhanov was discovered on July 15 approximately 51 kilometers from Aktau, just 10 meters from the shoreline.
Rescuers recovered the body from the water and handed it over to police.
Azamat Duisekhanov went missing on the afternoon of July 7 near the O'Mir resort hotel, where he was celebrating his coming of age.
