At the presentation of the new Mitsubishi Pajero in Japan, the Rally Concept was showcased with off-road accessories and the signature Ralliart livery. However, the company has not yet confirmed a production sports version of the SUV, reports infohub.kz.
The concept features fender flares, a snorkel, protective elements, a grille with the Ralliart emblem, and 18-inch Work Crag wheels fitted with Yokohama Geolandar X-AT off-road tires.
When asked about a possible Pajero Ralliart, Mitsubishi's chief product specialist Kunitoshi Itagaki said there is no specific project at the moment. The company will continue to explore the possibility of creating a model that would live up to the Ralliart heritage.
Meanwhile, the manufacturer emphasizes the new Pajero's connection to motorsport. The SUV has won the Dakar Rally 12 times, earning it the nickname "King of the Desert."
For now, customers are only offered the option to upgrade the standard Pajero with off-road accessories. The Rally Concept remains the only version of the new model with Ralliart modifications.
Earlier, Mitsubishi officially unveiled the new generation Pajero. The legendary model has returned after years as the flagship SUV. Also, Kursiv Avto reported that a used Mitsubishi L200 is challenging the new GWM Poer.
