A woman in the Zhambyl Region has been held administratively liable for repeatedly failing her parental duties after she drank alcohol with her husband in the presence of her young children, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the official Telegram channel of the Zhambyl Region courts, a specialized inter-district court for juvenile affairs heard an administrative case against a mother for the repeated failure to fulfill her duties in raising minors (Part 2 of Article 127 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
It was established that in August 2026, a resident of the Moyynkum district was at her temporary place of residence in Taraz with her husband while moderately intoxicated. Her two young children, born in 2024 and 2025, were in the house. Neighbors reported the incident to police officers. During the inspection, unsanitary living conditions and a complete lack of conditions for the children's proper development were recorded.
The court also established that earlier the same month, the mother had already been held liable under Part 1 of Article 127 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
In court, the woman fully admitted her guilt, confirming that she had consumed alcoholic beverages together with her husband in the presence of her young children.
The sanction under Part 2 of Article 127 of the Code of Administrative Offenses provides for a fine of 15 monthly calculation indices or administrative arrest for up to 5 days.
The court recognized the admission of guilt and the presence of young children as mitigating circumstances.
By court order, the woman was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 127 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and fined 15 monthly calculation indices (64,875 tenge).
The order has entered into legal force.
