Kazakhstan has reported the first results of its digital "single window" for the pharmaceutical market. Drugs for diabetes, obesity, and oncology are currently undergoing accelerated review, according to infohub.kz.
According to the Ministry of Health, as of early August this year, 63 contracts have been signed under the accelerated drug review, and 20 applications have been submitted for registration. Currently, six of them are undergoing initial review, while 14 are already at the next stage of consideration.
"Among the drugs undergoing registration procedures are Mounjaro (tirzepatide), Wegovy (semaglutide), and the anticancer drug Azacitidine," the statement said.
It is also noted that for the Azacitidine application, a decision has already been made to recommend the drug for further registration procedures.
The "single window" is also used for standard drug registration. According to the Ministry of Health, the first four applications have been received. One of them, for the domestic drug LevoKaz (levofloxacin) produced by Kelun-Kazpharm LLP, has been recommended for transition to specialized review.
Regarding the registration of medical devices, two applications have been submitted: for Map-iT diagnostic catheters and the PAL vibration liposuction system.
It should be recalled that in September 2025, the republic launched a digital mechanism for registering drugs and medical devices based on the "single window" principle. The Ministry of Health notes that the system provides a clear algorithm for procedures and more convenient interaction with the state system.
