Kazakh shooter Aleksandr Mukhamediyev finished sixth in the individual skeet final at the 2026 Asian Games, hitting 19 targets, infohub.kz reports.
Qatar's Rashid Al-Athba won the final, breaking 34 targets to set a new Asian record. China's Lyu Jianlin took silver with 33 targets, while Li Meng-Yuan of Chinese Taipei claimed bronze with 29.
The final standings in the men's skeet were: first, Rashid Al-Athba (Qatar) with 34 targets; second, Lyu Jianlin (China) with 33; third, Li Meng-Yuan (Chinese Taipei) with 29; and sixth, Aleksandr Mukhamediyev (Kazakhstan) with 19.
In the team event, Kazakhstan — also represented by David Pochivalov and Artyom Sedelnikov — scored 346 points to finish fourth. India finished with the same number of points but took bronze on countback.
In individual qualifying, Pochivalov placed 17th with 115 targets, while Sedelnikov was 28th with 112.
In the women's competition, Assem Orynbay won bronze, and Kazakhstan's team of Orynbay, Zoya Piskun and Adel Sadakbayeva took silver.
