In the village of Borodulikha, Abai region, a brutal murder of 20-year-old Dilnaz Zhumagulova is being investigated. According to investigators, her ex-boyfriend is involved in the crime, reports infohub.kz.
The girl's body with multiple knife wounds was found on the road on July 13. The suspect was detained and placed in custody. According to KTK TV channel, the young man confessed to the crime.
Dilnaz was 20 years old. She dreamed of becoming a history and geography teacher, traveling, and starting a family. She was an only child, and during the holidays she was staying with her grandparents.
According to the preliminary version, on the evening of July 13, Dilnaz met with her ex-boyfriend, whom she had known since school. A quarrel broke out between them. It is alleged that the girl slapped him, after which he took out a folding knife he carried in his back pocket.
According to relatives, the suspect inflicted 12 knife wounds on Dilnaz and also hit her several times on the head with a blunt object. He then allegedly tried to dispose of the body, dragging it about 32 meters, but left it on the road.
"The girl was only 20 years old. And no matter what disagreements they had, no matter what conflicts occurred, no matter what personal animosity there was, that was no reason to kill a child, to take her life. According to the forensic examination, I read, 12 knife wounds and two blows, he smashed her skull with a blunt object," said the victim's mother, Dinara Atayeva.
When Dilnaz did not return from her walk in the morning, relatives began to search for her. One of the acquaintances told the family that he had seen the girl with her ex-boyfriend.
According to KTK, the suspect returned home after the incident and went to sleep. He allegedly hid the bloodied clothes and the knife in the toilet.
Relatives of the deceased also said that the suspect's family tried to meet with them. However, Dilnaz's parents stated that they are not ready for such a conversation yet.
"Such people must be isolated from society. We don't know, they can go anywhere, in all cities, in all villages. The law must be tightened. A person was killed, our only child," said the victim's father, Sabyrzhan Temirkhan.
The police department of the Abai region reported that the pre-trial investigation has been completed. Currently, the participants in the process are familiarizing themselves with the materials of the criminal case.
