Kazakhstan's Ministry of Internal Affairs has urged parents to tighten control over their children, especially at night, as many have already been held accountable. This was reported by infohub.kz.
According to the ministry's statement, particular attention was paid to cases of minors being out at night without adult supervision. During the latest operational and preventive operation, more than 25,000 minors were identified.
"We once again draw parents' attention to the need to strengthen control over their children's whereabouts and activities, as well as to their responsibility for improper fulfillment of parental duties," the statement said.
In addition, work was carried out to bring the road infrastructure of areas adjacent to educational institutions into compliance. About 3,000 orders were issued, and measures are being taken to address them.
The MVD emphasized that a total of more than 40 officials have been held accountable. In addition, the technical condition of vehicles transporting children was checked.
"Taking this opportunity, we once again remind you that parents are primarily responsible for their children's safety. It is important to monitor children's behavior and emotional state daily, and to immediately inform the police at the first alarming signs. Preventive work on child safety, both in educational institutions and on streets and roads, continues," said Asqat Dyusembekov, head of the department of the Committee of Administrative Police of the MVD.
