In the city of Altai, East Kazakhstan region, a man ran out onto the street completely naked and scared motorists. The incident was captured on video and published by the Telegram channel EGOV.PRESS, reports infohub.kz.
The footage shows the man walking along the roadway while a nearby screen displays a social advertisement by the prosecutor's office about maintaining law and order. Witnesses speculated that he might have been under the influence of drugs.
The police department of the East Kazakhstan region told Kursiv that the incident occurred on August 1. "Police officers identified a man who was on one of the city's streets in an indecent state, violating public order. To ensure the safety of citizens and the man himself, he was taken to a medical facility for examination," the police statement said.
After the examination, doctors concluded that the man did not need further hospitalization. After being discharged, the offender was brought to administrative responsibility for petty hooliganism. By a court ruling in the Altai district, the man was sentenced to five days of administrative arrest. The police did not confirm witnesses' reports that he was under the influence of narcotic substances.
