The question of possible increases in payouts to Kazakh children from the National Fund was commented on by National Bank Chairman Timur Suleimenov during a briefing, reports infohub.kz.
Journalists asked whether payout amounts would be reduced amid plans to additionally withdraw 5 trillion tenge from the National Fund over the next three years for investment projects. Timur Suleimenov stated that despite the planned withdrawal, the National Fund's assets will continue to grow by 2029. These parameters, he said, are included in the country's socio-economic development forecast for 2027–2029 and in the government's budget parameters.
"In any case, the National Fund will grow. The investment income that we as the investment manager provide will also grow, and accordingly, the amounts accrued to children's accounts will also grow," the head of the National Bank concluded.
Recall that since 2024, Kazakhstan has been running the "National Fund – for Children" program. Under it, every minor citizen of the country has been receiving a share of the National Fund's investment income for the third year now. In the first year, $100.52 was accrued, in the second – $129.38, and in the third – $130.71.
Meanwhile, Kazakhs are actively using "children's" payments from the National Fund. You can read about what exactly they spend the money on here.
