Nazgul Khatepova has been appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, the government announced. The decision was formalized by a government decree, as reported by infohub.kz.
The government's press service announced the personnel change. In an official statement, it said: "By a decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nazgul Serikkalievna Khatepova has been appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture."
Khatepova was born in 1990 in the West Kazakhstan Region. She graduated from the Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian-Technical University, M. Kh. Dulaty Taraz State University, and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where she earned a master's degree in business and management.
From 2012 to 2021, Khatepova worked as a manager, expert, and chief expert within the Ministry of Agriculture. In 2021–2022, she headed the Agricultural Products Certification Department of the ministry, and then until January 2025, she led the Department of Agrifood Markets and Agricultural Processing. From January 2025 until her new appointment, she served as Director of the Department of Crop Farming at the Ministry of Agriculture.
