Police in Akmola region are investigating the possible theft of nearly 25 million tenge from a company in the city of Kosshy, reports infohub.kz.
According to the regional police department, the money disappeared from the LLP's accounts between 2023 and 2025. Investigators believe the funds were embezzled and then transferred to the accounts of a third-party organization.
Police have opened a criminal case. Investigators are currently reviewing the company's financial records, tracking fund movements, and have ordered necessary forensic examinations.
"Individuals have been identified and their involvement in the crime is being checked as part of the pretrial investigation," police said.
The department stated it intends to determine all the circumstances of the incident.
